WCHS Gentleman's Club

Coleman Elementary School continues to prioritize student character, leadership, and a positive school culture. As part of this ongoing commitment, Coleman was honored to welcome a group of exceptional young leaders from Watson Chapel High School for a meaningful and impactful visit focused on responsibility, respect, and personal growth.

The visit was led by Mr. Crockett and Mr. Deshazier, alongside Rev. Turner and Rev. Hill, whose leadership and mentorship provided our young male scholars with powerful examples of what it means to lead with integrity—both in the classroom and beyond school walls.

During the visit, the high school gentlemen engaged Coleman Scholars in open and encouraging conversations about making positive choices, demonstrating self-discipline, and understanding the importance of behavior in shaping future opportunities. Our young male scholars were reminded that strong character, respect for others, and accountability are foundational to success in school and in life.

The experience was both structured and uplifting. Students participated in a unified chant led by Mr. Crockett, reinforcing confidence, pride, and belonging. A defining moment followed as the high school gentlemen formed a two-line formation symbolizing unity, brotherhood, and purpose—leaving a lasting impression on our young male scholars and reinforcing the message that they are supported and seen.

As a direct outcome of this visit, Coleman Elementary will launch a new chapter of the Gentlemen’s Club after the new year. This initiative will focus on mentorship, leadership development, positive identity, and character education—ensuring our young male scholars are supported academically, socially, and emotionally.

Looking ahead to the second half of 2026, Coleman is excited to introduce “Cold Man”, a school-based initiative inspired by the Watson Chapel High School Gentlemen’s Club. This program will engage young male scholars in a structured, intentional, and empowering way—strengthening school culture and reinforcing positive behaviors through consistency, relationships, and role modeling.

Coleman Elementary is grateful for the partnership with Watson Chapel High School and the leaders who invest their time and energy into our students. Together, we remain committed to building a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where every scholar—especially our young male scholars—is encouraged to grow, lead, and succeed.
